FAQs

Please find below a list of questions that we are often asked. If you can’t see the question/answer you are looking for then please get in touch.

Are you able to give quotes over the phone?

We can give a rough idea of pricing over the phone, but before making any units we will need to visit to give you a formal quotation.

Are you insured?

Yes. We have a £10 million public liability insurance and have insurance against damage to customers’ properties.

Can you make triple glazing units?

Yes.

Can you really repair broken double glazed units?

Using our manufacturing facility in Stevenage we are able to make sealed double glazed units to exactly replace those fitted in existing windows or doors (size, thickness, style) giving you a perfect replacement!

Can you replace traditional glazing in wooden doors/frames?

Yes. We can also supply very thin units to retrofit to traditional window frames and doors to give a traditional look with modern insulating properties.

Can you supply replacement glazing and doors suitable for listed buildings?

Yes.

Do you belong to any trade associations?

We have been FENSA registered since 2004.

Do you fit 'K glass'?

Yes.

Do you visit to take measuremets?

Yes, although the distance we can travel is determined by the size of the job.

How can I tell if my existing windows are filled with Argon?

Argon is used to improve the energy efficiency of sealed double glazing units. Look for small sealed injection points within the window bars (the silver strip inside the windows). If you can see something like that then your windows are probably argon sealed (or at least were!)

How quickly can you make up a replacement glazing unit?

For small, emergency window repairs, we can often turn them around ‘same day’ – please call us!

How long are your glazing units guaranteed for?

10 years.

Is it possible to fit a cat flap in a double glazed window or door?

Absolutely. We can manufacture a double glazing unit fitted with a cat flap, which can be retrofitted to an existing window/door unit. We recommend that you keep the old glazing unit and we can swap that back if at some point in the future you want to remove the cat flap.

What form of payment do you take?

Cash, credit or debit cards; or invoices where appropriate.
